Stump grinding is the most cost-effective option for removing a stump from sight. The stump is ground below surface level so the area can be topped with soil, grass seed, sod, mulch, or decorative rock.

Starting Prices:

• Small stumps up to 12 inches: $125
• Medium stumps 13–24 inches: $175
• Large stumps 25–36 inches: $275
• Extra-large stumps 37–48 inches: $375
• Oversized stumps 49 inches and larger: Starting at $475

Complete stump removal is best when the full stump and major root ball need to be dug out, such as for regrading, new landscaping, fence work, garden beds, or construction prep.
